So I finally found someone at Earthlink who could tell me what went wrong. Despite the fact that I gave the sales person my new address and phone number, as well as changing them both on their website, they set up the DSL at my old address and phone number. Thus the battle for DSL rages on.

So when are they going to have it operational?
I have 2 choices. I can transfer the service, which will take 2 weeks or I cancel the service and reapply for it with the new address info. With that option, they might make me send back the modem and send me another one. Either way blows.
Now that is a poorly designed system.
